lankyross: Do you think there is a difference between people who play it for a little extra cash and those who play poker for a living to how they think about the game? Do the people like you who play the game for a living enjoy poker a little less as its a job and not a hobby?
The difference is that full time players have more experience, they've put in more work, therefore they are better.
I guess I enjoy it less. I hate gambling actually. To stay tilt free, you have to cope with running bad, coolers etc saying that it's just variance. But it goes another way around when you run hot. You feel nothing.
lennuk: dont try PLO ,I remember someone said it is harder to quit than heroin :D
Maybe that's the reason why I should since opponents are addicted
MattVIP: The only thing I'd want to point out is that your average 9-5 can be as much volatile as poker if it doesn't really offer a clear promotion path
I actually addressed it - "
you lose job experience EV which might or might not be very high". Sometimes it's hard to understand me
@Prostaker What way of transitioning from NLHE to PLO would you suggest for a player with minor PLO knowledge and 3-4k roll? I was thinking of spending like 1 day / week to play and study exclusively PLO. Main reason why I haven't started it already is the fact I don't really know what to study. I don't like idea of watching random videos that might or might not be relevant, so I'd spend my time very inefficient. :/
