It seems that ZOOM is hard to beat for me even at NL5. It will be almost impossible to play NL10 this month.

It's a mix of bad play and bad run to be honest. Aces were a nightmare so far. I was dealt 42 of them and won only 5$.
One sick hand that makes me say WTF???!!!

Quads of 6 are my nightmare so far.

No more ZOOM for me!!!

I played almost 33k hands at ZOOM and the conclusion is pretty obvious: I SUCK AT IT!!! I was planning to play 150k this month but there is no point runing like this. I can't beat shitty NL2 at ZOOM and NL5 is way out of my league.
Here is the total graph:



I am going back to the standard FR tables and try to beat those limits one at a time. I bought another $10 with the star coins so the bankroll is up at around $430.

New June Objetives:
* play 50k hands (starting tomorrow)
* don't tilt like a moron
* give more credit to postflop raises (especially on river)
* play tighter than usual preflop (UTG, UTG+1 and MP1)
* abuse of auto-profit spots preflop as much as possible

Study:
* 3bet/4bet preflop game
* postflop auto-profit spots (be careful at the sample size)
* watch videos from poker VIP (rewatch some old ones if htere are no new interesting ones)
* watch some twich streams (I use to watch KDJ at the SH tables from STARS)
* read The mental game of poker to clear my mind a little bit

I think it is always good to be able to walk away from games and sites which you feel you can't beat and it seems like you gave it a real good shot and well you can try again down the line if you ever want/need to.

First thing you need to be when a poker player: honest to yourself.

Looks like in the graph posted above were included some hands from the normal tables (ipoker included). Anyway, there is not that much difference overall but it was just not only ZOOM.

I hadn't played that much from my last post, only around 2.2k hands but I can say that I managed to pass ZOOM NL2. Now I am back to ZOOM NL5 and I will definitely beat it pretty soon. I am down 5 buy ins at it but my confidence now is great.

Here is how it went so far at ZOOM this month:



I am following just 2 simple rules this time:
1) Value bet hard when I have good hands
2) Be very careful when I face agression postflop.

Bankroll is now at around $445.

I didn't beat ZOOM NL5 yet. Actually I played just a session or two there and lost another 4 buy ins and decided to take a brake. My bankroll there is now down to 430$. I preffered to watch the European Championship instead, and just relax more after work.

I didn't gave up poker in the last week, I just moved to Betfair to grind the SPEED tables instead of ZOOM. For the moment it is going much better than ZOOM even though I have no HUD here. Maybe I relied to much on stats while playing ZOOM or maybe it is just the fact that players on SPEED are dumber than ZOOM ones. One of the causes must be the huge rake here on ipoker so regs are gone from here and the second important factor is that NL5 is the lowest limit here, so people that have no clue about poker can't play lower limit like NL2 if they prefer SPEED games.

I am aware that I run good so far, but I am confident that I can get around 5bb/100 real win rate at SPEED NL5 (pre rakeback).
Bankroll is here at around 240 euros and I have another 50 euros deposit bonus that I need to unlock.
I know that from speed NL5 I have to jump to speed NL20 , but I'll see what is going to be my next step when I reach 320 euros bankroll.
I think that I have only 2 options on Betfair:
1. Play standard NL10 after SPEED NL5 with 100bb stack.
2. Play MSS on SPEED NL20 for a while and see how it goes.
3. Get back on STARS and try to beat the games.

Yes, it seems that Speed is easier, but I have only 17.500 hands here so far. I hope it will go like this from now on too but who knows?!
The bankroll is very good right now (285 euros) since I managed to win another 15 at the tables + 10 from deposit bonus + another 20 euros from rakeback.



I wish there were more speed videos here, especially of HD quality like the last ones uploaded on pokerVIP. It was about time they noticed that the old ones were pretty bad, at least for me it was pretty hard to watch them (not all but most of them). Keep it up PokerVip!

SPEED NL5 is so fucking easy guys!!! (or just running hot so far)

I can't believe what kind of donks are all over the place at NL5 even though the field is so small compared to Stars. I didn't play that much after the last update (only 2k hands or so) but it just felt great so far out there.
The bankroll is now at 315 euros and in the near future I plan to open at least one NL20 table to get used to it.
