Regarding shots you should check this video out...at some point he explains his strat

Hey Jon, he seems to use a strategy to have more buy ins as you move up. That's what I used in sports betting and I want to do something similar but I don't want to spend more time than I have to at plo4. I'll see in the next few weeks how I go about it, I know I'm a much better player the deeper my roll gets as I can really focus on playing without worrying about the results but at the same time I want to move up! For now my roll is about to cross the 300€ mark which I'm happy with, might take a shot at 350€, something like that.

I'm done with uni until September, the next 3 months are all about work and poker. Still a security guard but many new features like metal detection and stuff have been added this year, great times.
Played a little session today and I'm happy with the results.

I'm off tonight so it's time to order Domino's and have some beers to celebrate.
Best of luck to all of you!

Domino order?
What beer?
Posted 7 years ago
Just a regular pizza and some beers. I'm not big into IPA's or beers that have a very strong hops taste, I just bought a mix of some lager and some dark beers. Beer

Not an IPA fan myself tbh! Although I do love Honey beer or like Blood Orange beer!

Have you ever tried brewing your own? One of my friends ordered a kit online and it seems simple enough. I'd give it a go if I had more room for storage.

The grind is still going good, gave the blaze canon a try for fun and didn't hit a thing but made a good profit from those juicy games. I think i'm set on shooting for the next stake at 350 euros of bankroll so sometimes in the next 2 weeks hopefully.

Bit of a different update today, not that poker related. I don't think I've mentioned it on here but about 10 years ago my dad bought a piece of land about an hour north of where I live. With the years we've been working on it, removing some trees, planting others and just making it nicer really. Last year we cleared an area big enough so we could build a house there. Since my dad plans on retiring and living there next year, we're going to build it this summer. We hired someone to do the basic layout and everything but we'll do lots of the work ourselves to save money. The property also goes up to a lake so it's a nice place to fish or just relax, it's nice to get away from the city once in a while

That's the clearing we made and the basic layout of where we'll be building.

And that's the lake. Other people have some stuff elsewhere on it but it's very calm. Just need to get high speed internet so I can grind there Laugh

Damn you literally just posted up my dream! This place looks sick man and 100% a nutted thing to do.

Any images/plans of the house we can see? Dno why but I am picturing some type of log cabin looking place?

Here are some pics! Shows how the frond and side should look like. We'll use pic 3 for the walls, maybe just a lighter shade of wood.

Poker wise so far this month has really been going like the following hand, villain being the funnest fun player at the table. The plo10 shot will wait until I win back a few stacks.

MP checks, Hero bets 63 BB, MP calls 63 BB

Turn : (189 BB, 2 players) Q
MP checks, Hero bets 8 BB and is all-in, MP calls 8 BB

River : (205 BB, 2 players) A

MP shows 1010Q6 (Two Pair, Queens and Sixes)

So am I!
I know he's earned it but i'll try to spend time there too. Nice to get away from the city once in a while.

Oh yeh for sure...knowing parents he probably isn't even doing this for himself anyways!

Aye perfect looking retreat...so jealous.

Really can't seem to get much going in poker this month. I just can't seem to win, I get outdrawn in key spots when villain is tilted or sticking it in lightly. My roll is deep enough that it's not really a concern but spending 4-5 weeks winning and losing the same 6-8 buy ins doesn't feel like progress. I've been working on 3bet pots for the past few days, we'll see next week if progress in being made. Working on my game and feeling good playing, hopefully results will follow at some point because plo4 is getting old.
I had to get a fresh install of windows 10, thankfully had time to back up my hands before.

That's this month's graph, somewhere around 10-12k hands total.

Today has been another day of swinging, mostly downwards. Won a few flips towards the end at least, poor ev line.
I'll review my hands to see where improvement is needed. I feel like I'm just experiencing some variance but It's starting to make me doubt my plays.

We've had some progress with the house building, the concrete pouring should be all done in the next couple days. The structure should start to take form pretty soon.

I've reviewed some hands and made some small adjustments to my game since my last update and I'm happy with the results so far. I wont end the month in the green but I want to end it with a positive slope, you know.

Also my room mate is moving out this Saturday and I'll keep the place to myself. More expenses but I'll be alright, I'll be able to use the extra room to make myself some kind of office, want to get a nice grind station set up.

Very busy so far this month with work, quite a few night shifts which has made playing poker difficult since I'm on an Europe facing network. That's a blessing though because I just can't seem to win again. Don't want to complain about it much Smile No point in writing more.
This month's graph so far.

Took a couple days off to get my mind off of poker and come back fresh. Also decreased my number of tables to 4, first session back felt good.

Can't seem to make my hud appear at all even though I'm using an older version of PT4. It's raining very other day here now, I like it but with most of my shifts at work being outside I've been drenched a few times. Overall everything is going pretty good just need to get the poker back on track Smile

When you are having days off is your mind always on poker?
Posted 6 years ago
I try as far as I can to just not think about poker. Usually that means lots of work and spending time with friends.

Yeh fair can easily weigh on your mind and for some people there can be quite a fear of coming back after a bad session
