Here is my update for last month.

After I had a nice cash in a tournament I withdrew £100 which I spent in about 5mins once I bought my daughter a new school blazer and then a takeaway and a couple bottles of plonk for me and the Mrs, but hey we all allowed a treat when we have a little score thats the beauty of poker, a good session and everyone is happy (especially women)!

So here is last months graph, running a little bad but hey,ho, bit disappointed with volume but have been doing a lot of travelling up and down from London to see family.

Just over 27k hands played at 10.77bb/100.

Kids are back to school this week so I am going to try and get into a bit of routine to utilize my time better. Hoping to start playing from 8am -1pm, I've never really played that early before so dont know what the traffic will be like during the week but will give it a go.

So after withdrawing and a little downswing towards the end the balance stands at:

£261.14 + £30.71 in rake back.

I quite like Betsafe as they don't automatically cash the points at the end of the month, so will be interesting to see how long I can build it up before I hit a downswing and have to use it to pad out my roll lol.

Anyway good luck all for the month ahead!!

Awesome volume there buddy just 3 days in. Looks like you are really going for it. Whats motivating you at the moment? I know on a few occasions you have been ON IT then quickly OFF IT. Seems like a new man just smashing it atm

Thanks Jon, you know the score with my old man, well poker is now my distraction from life and it seems to be working. Nice to just sit in the corner headphones on, listening to some old school, playing some poker in my own little world, then headphones off and back to reality. Just looking at things a little different these days.

Im not as hardcore as you but when I grind I tend to smash it, but I cant seem to manage it everyday which is something Im trying to change but hard when you got mrs and kids to attend to.

ps. what you think of the beard lol I got some serious facial fluff going on!!

Fat-Sunny: Note to self, do not play Borderlands 2 if you have poker to play...Lost 2 days of my life to that game, got serious catch up to do now.

Haha I play borderlands 2 +dota 2 too. when downswing, i will play that game 1-2 day to forget feeling loser Cheeky

Great game I love it!! To addictive tho!!

Wow had some bad beats so far this evening, flopped quad jacks and lost to quad aces and twice lost to quads with a full boat.

Break time me thinks, going to watch celebrity poker on challenge tv, its so bad its comical, probably the worst game of poker ever caught on camera.

Back on later!!

Just the standard AK v AA and QQ v KK, managed to turn it round for a staggering 6 buck profit.

I have also somehow won a £25 Battle of malta ticket which I will be playing later for the crack, could do with a holiday Laugh

Evening all!!

Just a little update as I have hardly played and as I got a little mention on facebook today I thought I better pop in and say hi!

Its been an ok week money wise but disappointed in my volume. I am really struggling to motivate myself to play. I'm ok once I'm playing its just that initial sitting down and getting on with it. Need to change a few lifestyle habits as I know this is a major cause of laziness for me and I know if I could up my volume I would up my profit.

If you have any motivational tips feel free to pass them on as long as it does not involve the "Eye of the Tiger" Rocky theme tune!

Anyway like I said pretty good week for me so far, played a little tighter than usual and it seems to be working so might try to stick to it but it can get a little boring so thinking of adding a couple more tables but we will see.

I seem to be playing AK pretty poorly when I dont hit a flop so need to correct this pretty quickly so again any advice or links to videos/articles would be great.

The second one is the best one I've heard packs a lot in and is really easily relatable to poker Laugh

I have decided for the moment I am going to keep my roll at £250 and withdraw everything above, if there is any, just to for a few extra pennies each week.

Does anyone else keep their roll level or is do you just let it grow? Or do you just pull out cash as and when you need it?

Be interesting to here from Jon on this one, as he seems to be constantly smashing it.

Depends on stakes and BR really. For me I'm not looking to play higher than 50nl/100nl so having more than $5k in my BR is kinda pointless so I take out the excess at the end of each month, don't normally add to it if it goes below however as if it begins to dip I just stay at 50nl for a while grind it back Smile £250 might be too small for 10nl I would suggest getting up to £450 then implementing it Smile
