Just on the EV thing (cross post from MDC thread). PT4 All in Equity is based on final pot post rake not amount put in so rake is not a factor if you are under EV. If you got 50/50 all in 10 times you EV line would be going down.

@Jon-PokerVIP That's awesome man. Yea I'm in the consulting services, information, and marketing services niche. I got my start in affiliate marketing (much like what you do with the site here) when I was 18.

That would create more of an inherent deviation between winnings and EV, and an association of running under EV and "runnning bad" being true ... if EV is pre rake and winnings are post rake, EV lines will skew further apart from winnings lines. So I guess to properly try and look at EV, add rake where you have been all in before the river, then see where you are at.

No EV is post rake. That's what I'm saying.

Sorry I read your post then for whatever reason interpreted it to be the opposite. If I could find the delete button .... Laugh

No problem. It got me looking into it because that's the only line I use to track performance. The kicker for me was run an all player report in PT4. Every players BB/100 and All In Equity BB/100 are different but across the full sample they are identical.

Just played the first session back from Florida. It went pretty good for the most part. Ran a big bluff or two at the end which didn't work out but I made a few nice calls as well throughout the session. I'm like 600 vpps from maintaining gold star status so I'd like to achieve that before the end of may.

Oh btw, Florida was pretty cool. I didn't do much other than work this time but still got to enjoy the weather and do a few cool things for a couple days.

Here's a couple. I didn't take many this time. Epcot was really cool, if you ever get a chance to go make sure you see the illuminations at night... Oh and don't forget Germany & Italy! Great drinks and food.

Been running extremely well since I got back. Past 2 days shotting 25NL has been amazing. I don't have enough experience at the stake yet to offer solid opinion but I feel like everyone is calling super light (only a few thousand hands so could just be variance). My assumption moving up in any stake is the regs are much better. I'll play another 10-20k hands and get a better idea of the difference.

I am super busy today and tomorrow but I need 200 more vpps to maintain gold star. Hopefully I can find 3-4 hours today and knock out the vpps.

Here is my graph since I got back from Florida. First 2k hands are 10NL, the remaining 2400 is 25NL.

Well sheeeeeeeeit thats a nice bit of heat. Ride that sucker into a solid NL25 BR!

Rake eats less of your win rate relative to buy in the higher you go up. So if you have the same effective win rate at 25nl you have at 5nl the 25nl win rate will look significantly higher due to a lower level of rake per 100 in bb.

I got goldstar again (just barley) Smile I 8 tabled 25NL for a few hours on Saturday, had to pack my shit up cause I moved to a new place the next day, and then went out with some friends as it was my Birthday.

Sunday was crazy. I moved to a new place and still don't have internet here so haven't been grinding. I should have it in a few days and be back to the tables. Excited to see how I do at 25NL over a larger sample.

What does gold star mean nowadays? Is that actually still equaling money or are the missions or whatever they called the bankroll boosters?

Clearing bonuses works out to be ~ 18% rake back at gold star I think.

2500 VPP for Goldstar with 800 "stars coins" = $8 per "step" of 250vpp. 10 steps for gold star so $80. Playing 10c/25c earns 5.5 vpp per $1 rake, so paying $454 in rake to get back $80. (2500/5.5 = 454.54)
