I'd have just made it 37bb on the flop to put player 6 all in and obviously not folding if Player 2 shoves. I thought about betting small to induce but think that's not good as these fishy types can call giving them odds to draw given how wet the board is.

And yes, against fish players I make my 3bets a lot bigger with value hands, 15-17bb.

I would actually be tempted to jam the flop. Player 2 has 58bb left in a pot of 39bb, but as he's not full stacked is probably bad enough to call off any 8x with a pair.

If you bet small and there's no shove you can get it in on the turn and the same range is calling anyway. Maybe there's not really any difference in overall EV for either option.

Pre flop like Harvie suggests, making it a bit bigger is extra EV vs bad players, particularly those playing fit or fold.

Preflop size is nice. On the flop it's hard to go wrong as long as you bet big. Both 37bb and a jam on the flop seem good. Your sizing can get a little awkward because if you bet 29bb and the next played shoves (like they did) then then neither you or the last player can re-open the action. I'd guess there isn't a big different in EV between all those sizings though.

Yes agree my bets were a bit off, I was trying very hard to get villain to push rather than me, my bad I think I could have just made it easy as advised.
