Don't normally post preflop AK but this is a new limit and things may be different.

So, given I'm utg and villain is bb so I expect their range to be stronger than normal, is this a 4bet/fold or a 4bet/c? I don't like messing about with AK preflop because obviously I wont likely get paid if I hit an over to their hand.

Only got 13 hands on this player so virtually unknown, looks reggish.

Thanks.

Vs UTG villain is going to have a much stronger range however we have AK suited. It really is as simple as that as we block AA, KK, we are suited and have so much equity vs anything apart from AA. Vs KK (which I mention we block) we still have over 30%.

I would make your 4B much bigger out of position however to make sure we don't get pealed so around 25BB

Facing a 3 bet when opening from UTG I would much prefer calling in position than 4 betting.Your fold equity profits will be minimal against micro stakes regs. For the first 2 seats don't be afraid to have a 4 bet value range of only KK+, you won't be getting exploited much, and if you do I'm sure your HUD will pick this up soon enough.

If you're not sure what to do after 4betting AK in spots like this then flatting it is fine. As you get more information about your opponents you can adjust your strategy one way or the other.

4bet calling should be profitable against someone who 5bet jams QQ+, AKo, AKs or looser, but might not be the most +EV play.

You'll win some money when villain folds. If villain flats the 4bet you get to play AKs IP which is rarely a bad thing.

The times he does shove you need 81.5/201 = 40.5% equity. This doesn't account for rake so depending on the rake cap that number will change slightly.

AKs has 41.9% against that range so the call should be about breakeven.

Thank you everybody, tht's what I thought, Ijust wasn't sure if we continue the same as we move up a bit.

@Komododragonjesus , thanks for the mathematics of it, I'm actually in the dark as to rake cap here, I'll check that out.

Thanks a lot again guys! Yes
