Vs random player.
Shove turn? Since I will have sets of 8, JJ, AJs for value. This seems like a reasonable hand to "semibluff" (I guess) with?

His river is pretty.... weird ? I would not have any hand I play that way. Thoughts?

Villains line is extremely standard so I'm not sure what you mean by you wouldn't have any hand you play that way.

Jamming turn seems pretty reasonable vs a sb 3b range as you will have to fold most rivers when you brick meaning he could be getting you off the best hand.

Only problem is I think you likely just call, call, call with sets and AJ, at least I think that's what you should be doing most of the time to allow villain to keep all his bluffs in his range by the river.

Extremely standard on that runout?

Well if you just call with all your strong hands you should obviously not raise/shove this hand, any hands.

Villain has 3b small blind then bet bet jammed river as a pot sized bet right? Pretty standard, don't see how that doesn't make sense?

As for your line I think you've answered your own question with your last response.

Don't think about wether and what you would do with your sets OTT, rather think about wether and why you would fastplay your strong hands here, the answer is simple, because you will get called a ton, what does that mean for our bluffs? Exactly the less FE we have the less EV a x/jam has, only jamming for the perception of balance is just torching money into a fire. You want to look for the highest EV option and not for the most balanced option (and that's always the case at the micros).

Think about it like this: You have 2 options OTT, one is for sure going to be a plus EV play and about the other you aren't sure it could be all sorts of things in terms of EV. The most intelligent and logical thing we should do is just take the line we know will print money without having to rely on assumptions, right? That's just what makes sense.

So in a vacuum x/c OTT is just the way to go.

Not having any hand played that way OTR would just be a mistake, why can't he just have AK? AJ? AA? JJ? This is a good card for villains range, he still has tons of strong hands, you still have tons of hands that might call, this seems like an extremely standard line by villain, and he more than likely just had AK.
