Pre is standard. Flop I check to allow me to bet turn and river. Turn I bet and get a call. River I slow down as I think what will flat and then flat a 3bet, then call turn and river except 55 or 99. This is tilt from my current horrible run of running into the nuts. Clear as day in hindsight.

So I check to see showdown vs weaker Ax that couldn't call river or underpairs and call off a small bluff if it came but couldn't see what he could have to do that.

River jam sucks for me. Assume it is 99 or 55 going for max value like 95% and fold.

I am floundering badly it seems at the moment.

Any thoughts on this one?

I thought to myself on the river "I'm snapping" before I saw they had 8c 6c (honest!) and here's why Laugh .

Turn and river are bricks so we're only worried about 99/55 which I think bet the flop or at least raise the turn. Your line looks super weak/bluff and they shouldn't expect you to call an overbet jam.

PS: I'd have gone 3 streets of bet bet shove here.

Why we haven't cbet flop is completely beyond me. This is the problem in the hand, bet bet shove and if they raise OTT probably fold.

Also AP why on earth would you not value bet river?! He can have ax that calls and any other pair.

This hand was played about as badly as possible post flop lol

Little thing to add btw: if this is how you have been playing recently with Flopping tptk and checking then I'm not surprised your win rate when flopping to is flat, you have to get value from worse Ax and charge draws.

Yes I think this looks like bet bet shove time as well.

After checking the flop, the turn bet then check river just looks like you took a stab at it then gave up.

May I suggest taking a step back to the very simple basic stuff, Yes ABC, the one ppl snigger at because it's too basic and not real poker. You'll get your mojo back in no time.

Hand is a bit of a trainwreck really. Probably not a good idea to slowplay this combo on the flop, cbetting is good. As played definitely fire both turn and river for value, don't check river. As played with little more than SPR of 1 then we have to call.

Interesting. I knew it was played bad, as I said in the OP, I should have bet river and possibly could have called river as played. Really surprised to hear people saying bet bet shove though. I thought I overvalued TP in general.

What worse Ax can he have and more specifically that is worth 3 streets? What draws can he have? After flatting an MP raise and then a squeeze? I would expect his range to be so many PP 88-JJ. Is he really doing that with AJ or 76s? And if he can will he really call off 3 streets here?

In a normal 3bet pot or if there was any degree of connection (A98) or 2 tone I'm never checking the flop but here what possible turn card can I be scared of? I know he turned up with 86s but thats a bit weird and he was just looking to outplay someone (hence the show I guess). I'm obviously missing something major, I assume everyone else is ranging it totally differently, but for me I felt my hand was strong and could check flop then bet bet and get calls from PP that I couldn't if I smashed into all three streets. River was obvious mistake not to bet as I said but then AP river I don't think is a snap at NL10z. That is the only time I've seen an overbet jam on the river not be the toppest of top range.
