Wanted to get some feedback on this hand. Villian was kind of semi lose passive. 32/18 with only 2.4 3bet over 114 hands. I had mixed feeling about this. On one hand i hated folding but I also feel like maybe it was just a fold on the flop when he raises.

Nasty flop for our hand, beat by lots of their holdings.

Flop might be better to check than bet, as I'm expecting to get raised a ton. Flop I'd call based on their small-ish sizing and our gutshot. Turn I'm throwing in the muck, expecting to get shoved on quite often on the river and I don't think we will be ahead.

Check the flop and basically call down a ton of run outs.

Thanks guys. Ya I thought afterwards that maybe checking would have been better but I fired. If he had some weaker holdings he is probably just folding them on that flop and if he has the stronger holdings then I am crushed at that poin,t so I am not getting worse to call or better to fold in most cases.

I did some math on it and found out with his 2 pair plus holdings( AA, QQ, JJ, AQ, AJ, QJs, KTs) that I had just over 23% equity and on the flop raise i was getting 23%, so I guess as played, calling the raise wasn't terrible. On the turn, I have less equity than the 26% I was getting from the pot, so I think my fold was OK. I left out QJo and KTo in that as I didn't think he would call a 3bet with those, but anything is possible at 2NL. If I added those then I don't think I even had the right odds to call the flop raise. The best I can hope for is he has AK as well and is over valuing the hand or KK

It was such a marginal spot that I think the checking route would have been better. At 2NL there are much better spots to get value and make so probably getting away from this and moving on and finding a better spot is the way to go.

Pretty reasonable hand overall.

When we look at this flop texture it should be immediately obvious that our hand is not worth 3 streets of value unimproved. We also know that we are drawing to the nuts and we would rather not get blown off this draw if possible. We also effectively get a discount on our check/calls, because even in a situation where our hand is beaten, we lose less in the long run on account of our nut draw.

So basically I'd start out with a flop check/call here and hope to keep better control over the pot.
