Poker tracker software for starters?

Posted 8 years ago

At this stage I definately cannot afford $100/month for pokertracker, I don't wanna be out of the money just to see some graphs. Is there a free alternative that can import hands from the iPoker network?

It's not 100$ per month. It's a one-time payment and you can get small stakes version (it's possible to upgrade it later) for 59.99$. It still might be too much for you so here's what I'd do in your place if I was just starting out playing poker. I'd use Holdem Manager 2 30-day free trial period, then I'd import my database to PokerTracker 4 and also use its 30-day free trial. That way I'd have 60 days to familiarize myself with industry leading software for free, make some money for a license and know which one I should buy. If you still can't afford the license after 60 days you can look into software called 'Free Poker DB'. It's not very user-friendly and setting it up might be tricky if you're not into tech/software etc. but it's free. However, if you're serious about learning poker and you'll use PokerVIP resources to get better at the game there's a good chance you might be able to earn money for the tracking software license in those first 60 days of your journey.

Thanks for the reply, I started the PT4 trial, and it's pretty good except one thing. I have won €2.32 in a micro SNG, but it had been interpreted as a €232 winning, so there is a huge spike in all graphs and I can't do anything against it. lol

Also couldn't import my last 10k+ hands, it's some kind of a trial restriction, whatever. Okay. Got it. I have to pay anyways. Will check the other one too that you recommended. I wonder if it has the importing stuff included.

I have a suggestion.
Use the trial version of HM2 and PT4 with leak buster one month each, if you get to earn from it, pick one.
Even if you don't pick any of the two, you still get two months free poker tracking.

Hey @damien How are you doing? Smile

I would say both PT4 and HEM2 are well worth the investment. Did you give one a go yet?

Hi @CrazyKeri no not yet i wanted to see what people tho of them 1st but i will try one of them what do you think is best?
Posted 7 years ago
Well I have only ever used HEM2 so I can't really make a fair judgement. From what I have seen over the years in the forums etc, I would say they are pretty 50/50. Maybe try the trials one after the other and decide which works best for you.

I play on PKR but i have not got rakeback so im looking into moving somewhere that does RB also im playing on Unibet but i cant download the softwear but i play on 5/10 cent NLH, Do you know any good sites that do RB if so what do you think is a good one?

I would suggest you give Betvictor or Betway a go @damien - They are both on the Microgaming network (Same as PKR now) so the same player pool with good traffic at 10nl, only you will get 30% rakeback + 200% up to $1000 first deposit bonus clearing at 20% + $75,000 PokerVIP top 500 rake race (Average 15%) so it would be well worth a move for you Smile

To get set up, just create an account using one of the links above and then email me over your screen name (name at the tables not login) + email used for the account and I will get your account set up for you.
