@Grocker6 yeh he is doing it to build a fan base, grow his channels and be the main man in poker which like
@Jamie says there is nothing wrong with that it is just for me personally a massive WTF and a let down.
So the reason is this is not original, micro guys have had people to look upto for 10 years, loads of people have done these challenges, loads of people are doing these challenges and I find the content extremely boring. Not everything in life has to be original but when you are the "best heads up high stakes player in the world" why could he not think or come up with something new, exciting and demanding?
The poker world FINALLY gets a high stakes pro, who speaks his mind, who battles hard, lives the life etc etc andddddddddddd we now get to watch him grind $3 tournis. WHICH is also such a weird line by him as he slags tournis off something rotten and is a heads up player but chose the 'easy' road or perhaps he chose this road so if he bustos he can turn around and say there is a lot of variance in tournaments and he was playing with limited buy ins?!?! maybe, maybe not.
Ok so as for the content:
The argument can go either way if the content is good or not. It will come down to which channels of him you are watching and what you have seen/not seen.
So the
Doug Polk channel is really rinsing the content but it is clips from twitch ffs which the majority of his audience has already seen. Let me say this again the DOUG POLK YouTube channel is clips of him playing live on twitch in micro stakes tournaments and cash games.
That's what truly hurts me, to go back to it again a high stakes pro finally stepped up and could have done so much more!!!
In Vegas all the cash, the big games, the stories, behind the scenes, living the life, parties etc etc was not seen. This is what people want to see IMO even the 2nl guys out there. Because its exclusive, never been done before and shows how DP lives his real life.
I dunno to me it's just a let down and I hope he changes this soon and I am looking forward to the WCOOP grind he will put in.
