Idiot end

This term is used when referring to the low end of a straight. Some people will call it the "sucker-end" or sometimes the "sucker straight". For instance, say you have a pair of 9's as hole cards, and the board is reading T-J-Q. In this hand, you would be drawing to the "idiot end" of the straight. This is because any King that comes out would give any Ace the nut-straight.
