The World Poker Tour has launched its new real money poker platform in the international market. WPT Global soft-launched last week to much fanfare as one of the biggest names in poker set about building a massive customer base that aims to satisfy the needs of recreational players.
The WPT has built its brand over the last two decades, sitting alongside the World Series of Poker (WSOP) and the European Poker Tour (EPT) as the most prestigious festivals around. This reputation should see the fledgling site grow quickly over the coming months.
For now, the WPT has chosen to focus on building up its customer base in the largest market and will forgo, temporarily, applying to operate in the United States and the United Kingdom.

WPT Releases Gamavr NFTsEvery new site wants to do something unique with its software and so WPT Global has jumped on the NFT bandwagon by adding what it calls gamavrs. These NFTs offer different types of bonuses to the players who currently hold them.
There are three levels of rarity: Humans, Cyborgs, and Gods. Respectively 60%, 30% and 10%.
Human-level gamavrs will give players access to more $100k freerolls, special seats on WPT Global, and a private Discord group.
Cyborg gamavrs offer access to celebrity tables where players can battle against some of their poker heroes.
Gods gamavrs will see the holder flying off to play against top players in WPT Live VIP events.
Games on WPT Global
WPT Global currently offers NL Hold’em and the exciting Short Deck variant in both cash game and tournament formats.
Additional features on the site are:
- Bomb pots
- Ante games
- Fast-Fold poker
It’s not all just regular poker found on other platforms either, WPT Global will be spicing up the schedule with some funky tournaments for MTT fans. The $1 for $1 million is sure-fire way to attract interest from non-tournament players; who would fancy winning seven-figures for only $1?
Satellites haven’t been left out either. There will be constant around-the-clock action for players to try and get into some of the bigger events on the cheap, including live WPT tournaments.
