TY maki1985!!!

Just ended my first session. My first impresion is that the players are more active, more 3bets, more agressive and so on. I think that I can beat this limit too on the long run. Anyway, today I run like shit at the tables overall, lots of setups and of course one hand that keeps on happening to me wich I will post down here. I just hope that the next sessions I'll catch a little upswing to build up my confidence. I have to play a couple of more sessions to get used with the sizeings, the big pots and so on and not to play scare money at all.

Overall I lost 1 buy in but as I said above, I feel that I can beat the limit.
Here is the graph from today:

And here it is, one of the magic hands that caused me a mixture of feelings, like laughing and swearing at the same time, :))

A good thing is that I can make like 100VPP/day of play (3000 hands) wich can lead me to gold star on STARS by the end of the month wich is awesome. I have never been higher than silver on STARS. Smile
I think that I will exchange the starcoins only at the end of February to boost my bankroll a little bit. All I want is to end the month with profit pre rakeback and to improve my game. Smile

Good luck all!

Hello again! Smile
I finished my session a couple of minutes ago. It was a short one because I don't have time for the game today and tomorrow I'll be off too. It went ok this time and finished with a little bit of profit. I still call too much because I don't trust villains and got punished a few times for that.
Here is the graph from today:
Attached Image

I think that I may be updating this blog to often and people get borred because of that. So, from now on, I'll post another update only after at least 10k hands played between the updates.
So, probably the next update will be on Sunday or something.
Good luck all! Smile

I wouldn't worry about other people! I'd personally just update whenever I feel like it, whether I'm on a high/low or just want to say something!
Also, filling it with your thoughts/life could be a good plan instead of just your latest graph.
Seems you've made a decent start to 10nl! Keep it up!

Are you still playing 24 tables? How do you feel this compares to play 4-6?
Posted 8 years ago*
Man, I just had the most horrible session of my life. I feel like shit right now. I lost around 6.5 buy ins in the last 2k hands or so. What can I say, when it's not your day it doesn't matter what you do because you are fucked anyway. Of course that I somehow tilted, played looser and didn't give a fuck about it no more... (the definition of tilt perhaps Sweating ). I didn't spew stacks or something shoving all over the place, I just simply didn't analyzed the situations anymore since whatever I have, he is going to beat me by the river.
Here is the total graph from NL10:
Attached Image

Lost a total of 7.5 buy ins at NL10 so now it's time to move back to NL5 and rebuild my confidence and bankroll. The funny thing is that I bought 50$ with starcoins yesterday after one hour session wich I closed because I was runing bad too, but today was incredibly bad. At least they took their fucking rakeback back.

New February Objectives:
Raining60k hands at NL5
Rainingstudy more
Rainingplay alot tighter and don't call like a moron villains bets

@f1zz1cs Yes, I am still playing at 24 tables and I will continue this way at NL5. I might lower the number next time I try NL10 even though I think that I just run bad while taking this shot since the stats are not that awfull (exept winrate Laugh ).
Attached Image

As I said above, I will try to play tighter and not be so call happy against villains bets.
At 500$ I'll take a 5 buy ins shot again. My current bankroll is:

Good luck all! :)

Well, I guess it is brake time for me since I run like shit no matter the limit I play. I tried NL5 today and lost again and I see no point in continuing to play angry and ready to tilt at any moment. I can't win a single pot and on top of that I can't fold in alot of set ups like the two posted below:

Tried my luck on ipoker at standard SH tables, but same results. Smile
I played today around 3k hands and my overall graph here is bad. I guess that only viper is unluckier than me..no one else.

Good luck! Smile

PS: this is my last post with complaints and related shit.

Woahhh that is rough man Sad Keep the grind going and all will sort itself out. It seems a lot of us are running bad lately. Must be something in the February air! Cheeky

Ha feel free to complain/tilt/moan or do anything you want. IT is your journey and for you to do whatever you want in! Sometimes it is good to vent Smile

Looks like you worked hard to get out of that hole! As always super sick work ethic.

Ever been interested in receiving coaching from W34z3l? I ask as we just announced this 4 day competition to win some Here

@Coldie Yeah, pretty bad February indeed. Smile
@Jon-PokerVIP Very nice competition but I'll pass this one for sure. Smile

I just finished another session on ipoker and it just sucks big time. Instead of 11bb/100hands I have a big 0bb/100 hands after around 9k hands. Since I don't have a rakeback deal, I consider it is just o waste of time continuing my stay there. I'll be moving back to STARS to grind that place up.

Some changes have to be made. The biggest one should be in reducing the number of tables from 24 to only 16 at least until the end of the month to see how it works out. I'll be paying much more attention to details and select a little bit better my preflop range and postflop gameplan. I will be playing at NL5 for the moment. In normal circumstances I should be able to reach a moderate winrate like 5bb/100 and from 1st March to move up again to NL10.

My bankroll is very solid for NL10 (around 1k$) but since my last experience there, I feel the need to play a little bit more to NL5 and really see where I am at right now with my game. After this short self evaluation, I think that I should post some realistic objectives for the rest of the month. So here there are:

February Objectives: (feeling good about this)
Sun 40.000 hands
Sun max 16 tables at a time
Sun fold alot more to 3bets since there aren't that many players that exploit that
Sun open alot less from EP and MP
Sun fold more postflop
Sun give credit to river raises (this is hard while playing)
Sun exploit the hell out of villains especially preflop (steal, fold to steal, 3bet, fold to 3bet)
Sun valuebet big against villains when I have good made hand

Man, when I write them down, it seems that even a monkey can do it, but while playing is so hard to follow this simple rules. Smile
Good luck all!

PS: the next update will be on 15th February and hopefully with some good news regarding my poker evolution.

Poker evolution: Love those words and kinda sums the game up. We constantly have to evolve and grow and just gain knowledge. Really really perfect!

I have read through the last page, sick hands Balonas. the flush vs flush, fh vs fh are absolutely disgusting. Your shot at 10nl reminds me of how I attempted 5nl, some crazy shit happening, right when the pots are so big, and those limited shot buying so precious.

Why do u play 24 (16) tables? I feel like a lot of my personal edge is following what is going on through the hands and how they play out - probe betting when I see weakness, overbetting when I know I will be paid off. In you case there is no way you can even remember who was the original raiser on the flop on tables 8, 17 and 24. Also I don't know if you're using software, but table selecting while playing such volume doesn't seem doable. Another advantage of reg tables of is you can remember opponents, since they stay at the tables and exploit them, but again, with 120 villains at any given point you are unlikely to do that. I don't see why you don't play 4-6 zoom tables instead is what I'm saying, as I can't see how you're taking advantage of the things that people love about reg when playing so many of them.
Posted 8 years ago
@dodger That's exactly what I am thinking at lately... to switch to zoom, because it's alot easier to follow the action instead of massive multitabling. I don't know yet exactly what to do but for sure this month I'll give it a try. I will use February for experiments at the tables because it seems that time for multitabling is not an option for me this month.

See you at the zoom tables dodger. Smile
Good luck!

I do the same. My winrate at 5NL reg tables is way better than zoom. Zoom seems such a nitfest at times. Maybe i will try to play Zoom again one day

Just a little update regarding my graph here on STARS:

I'll be pretty happy if I manage to finish the month in the green. Smile
I still need 50.000 hands to grind hard and only 10 days left of the month.

See ya all at the finish line!!! Laugh
Good luck!

PS: really interested in six plus holdem from ipoker...can't wait to give it a shot. Laugh

Yeh this six plus looks so sick! It is launched today so if they have no bugs i will be grinding it myself shortly.
