Rakeback

Rakeback refers to some of the rake a poker player has paid being paid back. Rakeback payments are typically weekly or monthly and often facilitated by an affiliate.

Traditionally Rakeback payments were made by affiliates who kicked back some of their commission to players who signed up to the poker room with them.

The Rakeback industry is extremely competitive and as a result of the price wars that emerged between poker rooms and affiliates, rooms like Full Tilt Poker and 888 have recently opted for a far less competitive player reward model.Edit
